Question: Regarding Wickr's privacy policies and Rooms on Wickr Enterprise, how are saved files kept persistent?  Is that information stored on an external server and, if so, to whom does that server belong?  If not, how are those files that are saved to a Room kept persistent?  If it's on my device (because I'm a Room moderator), will others be able to access those 'persistent' files if my device is turned off?  If that information is stored on an external server, say by my Provider, does the Provider have access to those files then?  Does the Provider have access to the conversations and data transferred in Rooms?

Answer: Files remain persistent in the conversation and/or room until they age out. That said, users will be required to be online and logged in order to access them unless they are saved off to the local device. As far as your provider having access, all communications are completely encrypted; hence, they don't not have access to the files. Wickr RAM resides within the AFSOC Cloud which is a DoD accredited enclave maintained by cleared personnel. More importantly, the administrators for Wickr RAM DO NOT have access to the messaging, nor files as they remain encrypted at rest. Hope this help. Let mw know if you have any additional questions.
