You will need the configuration file on the second device just as you did on your first device.

Download the conf.wickr file at either of two addresses:

Then:

  • Select "Messaging Config"
  • Save the file somewhere you can find it. Do not run it

QR Pairing Method:

Now launch the Wickr Enterprise application on your device.

The configuration config password is the same secret password as it was on your primary device.

Open your primary device and click approve and scan the QR code on the secondary device you are trying to add.

You should get the "Initializing Device" and should be good.

If you do not get the Notification on your primary device you need to Exit out of the application on your primary device and relaunch to receive it.

If that doesn't work click the "DIDN'T GET THE NOTIFICATION" and then try to relaunch the notification on your primary device.

See attached video tutorial for more help.

If your first device doesn't have a camera or is not available.

Master Recovery Key Method:

If your primary device doesn't have a camera to load the QR code your next option will be to add via Master Recovery Key you obtained when you first signed into Wickr.

After going through the initial configuration steps and signing in, when prompted for the QR code to be scanned select:  I Don't Have Another Device

Now paste or type your Master Recovery Key and click Recover.

Now paste or type your Master Recovery Key and click Recover.

Now enter in the full MRK letters and numbers in.

There are no O's in MRKs (Master Recovery Keys) only Zeros (0).

Once put in it should add the device to your group of devices on your Wickr Account.

Note: Adding via MRK does not transfer history of the rooms.  You will still be a part of the rooms but the history will not transfer.

You might get to this document also because User is getting Suspended Account error. It's not actually suspended:

  • Reset that device and try again. just means they've failed too many times to register that one. hopefully they enrolled a mobile device or tablet first so they can scan with camera the QR code on the new device's screen.
  • If new device in SCIF, still should work. Print the QR code on the new device's screen and take paper copy out to mobile/tablet already registered. Hopefully mobile/tablet have the Push Notification to approve adding new device. Approve it and scan the printed QR code.
  • If steps were done out of order or failed, User can use a working/registered device to open Device Management and reset the failed device.
