Note: Wickr RAM does not share computer audio over the screen share option while in a call
Check the following settings:
- Ensure that any external speakers/headphones are firmly plugged in and volume is turned up (and not muted)
- Test volume using another application to see if the input issue is observed outside of Wickr RAM
- Ensure that TCP is turned off under connectivity settings
- If on a government PC: We have had reports of internal mics and cameras being disabled on government workstations. You will need to contact your local CST to have this resolved. However, a possible workaround is to use an external USB mic and camera.
Note: From a performance perspective the clients will behave accordingly
- For mobile clients, beyond 4 callers and ONLY the active speaker will stream video
- For desktop clients, beyond 6 callers and ONLY the active speaker will stream video
For devices having performance issues for Wickr RAM follow these steps:
Step 1: Press Windows Key:
Step 2: Type “Run” (AND WAIT!)
Step 3: Click the “Run App” to launch: (PRO TIP: you can press WinKey+R as a shortcut!)
Step 4: Enter: “control mmsys.cpl sounds” , and press “OK”:
Step 5: (Playback) For each device that is NOT your Headset (or speakers), right click, then select Disable:
Note: the icon should now be greyed out
Step 6: Click on the “Recording Tab”, and repeat for microphones:
